About
Carlee is honoured to be working alongside people to help them achieve their goals. Equipped with an M.A. in Counselling Psychology, she is motivated to share new techniques, strategies, and research in counselling with clients. Her therapy framework is from attachment theory, suggesting that who people are, how they act, and what they think and feel comes from relationships with others and one’s self.
Carlee uses a warm, relational approach to help others understand and express the social-emotional impact of their experiences. She incorporates strategies informed by research to motivate clients towards healing and growth. She is able to work with children, youth, adults and families. Her training history includes experience with play therapy, Emotion-focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and 2 trauma therapies: Lifespan Integration (LI) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Carlee has completed an MA thesis on the healing of attachment and adoption trauma in school-aged children.
