We realize that many people cannot afford to pay market value for counselling. Each one-hour session costs Cares $135 to operate. By offering a sliding fee, our goal is to is to make counselling affordable and accessible to all people in our community. To offer these lower rates, we fundraise so we can pay a portion of the counselling fee. We use the honour system and ask that you are honest about your combined annual income so we can continue offering our low rates to those who need them.

  • Ask about seeing one of Cares counselling interns at a reduced rate

We also accept those who are covered by ICBC for counselling sessions. Please indicate on your intake form if ICBC will be paying for your sessions, and your counsellor or the administrative staff will ask for further details.
