About

As a mature student I received a Bachelor of Arts degree through the University of Victoria in June 1998. In 2002 I completed a Masters of Counselling degree in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and have been working in the field since 2002. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (2013). Areas of interest in counselling are family relationships, couples, stress management, depression/anxiety and addictions. Most of my work is with adults, both male and female. I have also enjoyed working with teens.

 In addition I have:

      Awareness Training for first Responders

      Level one Clinical Supervision, AAMFT

      Critical Incident Stress Management: Basic

I am married. I have four adult children and fourteen Grandchildren.  I have experience with Fostering and adoption. We fostered our youngest child for two years before we adopted her. I worked closely with the Social Worker and public Health Nurse during that time. Our daughter has FAE (Fatal Alcohol Effect). I understand the difficulties of parenting a child with those disabilities.
