Growth and healing are processes that we all can engage in, although this looks different for every individual. I want to support you in the ways that are most beneficial to you, which means that I use an integrative approach geared towards your goals and preferences. I use an attachment based approach and incorporate techniques from Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Polyvagal Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I am also trained in level one Observed and Experiential Integration, which is an approach for treating unprocessed trauma and other adverse experiences, and reduce related somatic symptoms.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship built during counselling is incredibly powerful and is the foundation where we can process experiences, recognise resilience, and develop resources for change.
