About
“Courage is not being afraid to ask.”
Counselling is probably not a service that you ever envisioned yourself wanting or needing. It is, however, a place where you can find support and healing for many of life’s challenges. With that in mind, Leanne seeks to provide a safe place for her clients to feel accepted and encouraged towards growth and restoration. Leanne’s approach to counselling is attachment-based, trauma-informed, and holistic. She believes that relationships are essential for human thriving, and that connecting with oneself and others is a life-long process. Growing up overseas helped Leanne develop a particular interest in multicultural issues, and a passion for those in cross-cultural ministry.
Leanne completed her M.A. in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University, and has experience working with children and youth, adults, and couples. She has also completed her EMDR training and is able to provide this service to clients. Leanne is particularly interested in working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational conflict, identity and family of origin issues, and trauma. She looks forward to meeting her clients and sharing in their journey towards healing.
